Top 3 Summer Wellness Tips

There’s nothing like summer in Fredericksburg! At Abberly at Southpoint, our team members and residents are excited for the new season. Summer gives us more time to do the things we enjoy the most and for us, that’s working on our fitness routine, such as swimming laps in the pool, going for a bike ride, or practicing yoga outside! We believe it’s how you live that matters and want to help you make the most of a healthy summer with these tips:

Outdoor Workouts:  Outdoor fitness is still enjoyable in the summer! Try scheduling your outdoor activities outside of 10 am to 5 pm, when temperatures are at their highest. You’ll find cooler temperatures during the early morning and closer to sunset. End your outdoor workout with a refreshing swim in our resort-style pool.

Top 3 Summer Wellness Tips Protect Your Skin: If you’re heading outside, grab a hat to keep your head cool and the sun off your face. Make sure to lather up with sunscreen! Using a sunscreen that’s at least SPF 45 and reapplying every two hours will keep your skin from burning.

Indoor Workouts: As temperatures climb higher and higher, indoor workouts can be more practical. Luckily, Abberly at Southpoint offers an Adrenaline Cardio and Strength Studio in the community! You can enjoy the cardio and weight training stations or visit a private studio for Pilates, yoga, and Fitness on Demand technology.
