Get Active This Fall

  |     |   Lifestyle

Fall is known for its stunning foliage, cooler temperatures, pumpkins, Halloween, and so much more. However, autumn is often overlooked as an ideal time to get and stay active. Spring and summer usually get a lot of the outdoor attention, but fall weather is perfect for a wide array of active activities and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Not only do the cooling temperatures mean you can be outdoors longer, but there is an abundance of healthy fall fruits and veggies.

Here are our team’s top three tips for staying active and healthy this fall:

Explore the Outdoors

The cooler weather is perfect for outdoor adventures. Go for a hike and enjoy the vibrant fall foliage as leaves change color or simply play with your dog at our Dog Park. Consider playing catch, frisbee, or football outdoors as well. Simply going for longer walks, especially with more comfortable temperatures, will help you exercise more.

Indoor Options

Although many prefer to be outside during the fall, shorter days mean that you have less time to be outdoors before night falls. Whether an early bird or night owl – or the weather is keeping you indoors – don’t forget about the Adrenaline Cardio and Strength Center at our community. It can keep you on track with your fitness plans no matter the season.

Be Festive and Active

Get some friends together and visit a local corn maze or haunted house around Halloween. Apple picking is another great activity that is perfect for fall. Plus, you get to enjoy the delicious fruits of your labor! These fun and festive activities encourage healthy lifestyles and will keep you moving.

At Abberly at Southpoint, we believe it’s how you live that matters. That’s why we hope these fall tips will help you stay active and healthy this season. Do you have your own tips? Share them with us on our Facebook page. We’d love to hear them!
